Highlights & Popups

One of the most widely used functionality of BoostDraft which makes navigating a legal document easier. Below are two examples of highlights and popups in action:

Defined Term

In this case BoostDraft recognizes 'Restated Certificate' as a defined term and automatically adds the highlight. On clicking the highlighted word, a popup opens up displaying the definition of that word

Section reference

Here, section 1.24 has a reference to another section - 2.1. BoostDraft automatically creates the relationship and highlights the term 'Subsections 2.1'. On clicking the highlighted word, a popup opens up showing the details of section 2.1 without the user leaving section 1.24

Popup Editing

What is it?

Recently added to BoostDraft, you can now edit a term/section shown in a popup.

Restrictions

Highlight Configuration

BoostDraft provides preset highlights, and the ability for a user to set custom highlights. These can be configured in 'Highlight Configuration' as show below:

Preset Highlights

<- Preset Highlights

BoostDraft provides a variety of preset highlights that are activated. These can be viewed under Navigation -> Configuration -> Highlight Configuration -> Preset. You can view text affected by many of these preset highlights from the Proofread menu, outlined in more detail here

Custom Highlights ->

Users can also add custom highlights for keywords they think that may be useful.

Ex. Adding a custom highlight for a company name in case the document template is being re-used, causing a risk of introducing incorrect words/entities to the new contract.

Custom highlights can be added under Navigation -> Highlight Configuration -> Custom, by clicking on '+' button and typing in the keyword and choosing the color

Custom Highlights

Reference Highlight

Clicking the 'Reference Highlight' button in the 'Labs' section of the BoostDraft tab will highlight all defined terms in green and section references in blue. Click the button again to turn off these highlights.
